What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a unique, innovative treatment that offers you the same results as metal braces but with more comfort and convenience! Clinical studies and technological innovations have led to this successful, refined treatment being available to you. Discover the new you, unlock your confidence and increase your self esteem with Invisalign! Invisalign treatment consists of a series of custom-made nearly invisible, removable aligners. Each aligner places a small amount of pressure on different teeth so over time, they straighten into the final position prescribed by your dentist.

Custom Made

Each aligner is personal to you as they’re individually manufactured for your teeth. A scan of your teeth is taken at your first appointment so each aligner will always be custom to you.

Removable

Invisalign aligners are removable, so you can eat, drink and clean your teeth without having to think about them. You can also remove them for special occasions, although few people will notice you’re wearing them in the first place!

Comfortable

Invisalign aligners are super comfortable, as there are no painful metal wires or brackets! As with any treatment, you may experience some minor discomfort at the beginning of each new stage but this will pass quickly.

Invisible

The best part of Invisalign aligners for you as a patient is that they are virtually invisible! You can get the new smile that suits you without wearing obtrusive metal braces.

Know what to expect

You’ll know exactly what to expect from Invisalign, as before you begin your treatment you’ll be able to see a 3D virtual treatment plan. ClinCheck, the 3D plan, will show you what your teeth might look like during each stage of the treatment as well as afterwards! ClinCheck will show you the series of movements that your teeth will go through during each stage of the treatment, enabling you to monitor the changes in your teeth during the treatment.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Invisalign®
The time taken to straighten your teeth with Invisalign varies depending on the individual position of your teeth. Treatment can take between 4 – 15 months, but the average treatment time is about 9 months.
It is sometimes possible to straighten just one arch, however often it is necessary to treat both upper and lower teeth to ensure you have a healthy and functional bite at the end of treatment. The only way to know for sure is for your dentist to carry out a full assessment.
We’re all different so we can only know for sure how much it will cost when you come in for your free consultation. Typically Invisalign costs between £2600 and £3900.
Invisalign aligners move teeth through a series of carefully controlled movements. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign treatment not only controls the amount of movement that each aligner delivers, but also the timing of the movement. So, at each stage, only certain teeth can move, following the Invisalign treatment plan for that particular stage. This results in an efficient force delivery system.
Most people are suitable for Invisalign. The best way to find out for sure is to book in for a free consultation.
Included in your treatment we will give you Vivera clear, removable retainers and a bespoke retention regime to make sure you keep your beautiful new smile forever. Some people may also need a bonded retainer – a discreet wire bonded behind the front teeth to keep them in place. We will let you know if this is necessary for you.
